Running a business and managing everything takes a toll on health. We become so addicted to growing and taking it from one level to the next and the next that we forget we are only human and the lack of sleep and the high level of cortisol being produced with being constantly under stress dealing with one thing or another and the balancing act with motherhood and then eating like there was tomorrow will take a toll at some point. We just don’t know when but for me it was between 2023 and 2024. I started feeling different. I wasn’t enjoying my work anymore coz of the excessive admin and retail pressures I had taken on over the 5 year period that I had to deal with which meant I was just constantly stressed. In 2024 I started losing my hair. It was literally coming out in clumps and because my mum had suffered from alopecia it really worried me. I got all the blood tests done. Everything was clear. Iron levels were fine. I had already changed my bad overeating habits. I was oiling my hair regularly. I then asked you all and you recommended I go for it as scared as I was and I def feel it has helped alongwith everything else I changed in my life to deal with this situation. It’s not easy when you are the boss. I knew I had to let go of the retail premises and instead move near my colleagues in London for that extra support so I could better manage my time with my girls going through GCSEs soon which I did in Jan 2025 and am so happy I did. Your body will give you signs to slow down and you have to listen to those signs.

Ok so few things. Follow @nadiabari1 for more of my ageing journey. It’s all an uphill struggle now but I’m on this fixing journey getting rid of excessive stress in life and doing as much as I can without blindly saying yes because of my niceness 😬😬. All good.

Ok so skin stuff. Thinking of going for the polynucleotide which I can’t pronounce properly or prp which I’ve already had in my scalp so I know what to expect with that. Scared about the rest. Hydra-facial is as far as I’ve gone on the face which I love but not helping the eyes. A lot of people have mentioned these to me in previous post and I’ve done research on it and seems like a good option. Not sure if it will help me or not and I am going to hold off for a bit before I make my final decision but that’s what I’m thinking. Just wanted to share it with you. Might as well be transparent about it all rather than hide away.

My middle daughter has a growth spurt mid term. So needed to get her school shoes. Done that today. Two demands she had. Shiny and laces. Sorted. My eldest also wanted to go to the cinema with a friend so office today was the car whilst I waited on them which I’m happy to do because when I’m away from noise I am 100 times more productive than when sitting at home or in a cafe. Everything done for today. Including our yearly festive shoot which I am very excited about.

Spontaneous unexpected meet ups are the best. Been wanting to go to @thefarmhousecoventry for the longest time but just never got round to it so today just worked out perfectly. Had a shoot to style looks for today but managed to sort it all staying up late in the khushi of seeing my little bro, sister in law and niece and nephews. Literally on the phone at 1am last night sorting.

Had thy most amazing experience dining at this restaurant. Don’t think can really fault anything. Service was great, the food was excellent. Normally when I have steak it’s just not the best but this was cooked to perfection. Portions were a good size. Zenab is too old for the kids meal but also couldn’t eat the adult portion so shared with me and it was plenty for both of us and we were both full. Zenab loved it too. Noor ordered the burger but again it was huge so it was boxed to be enjoyed later. My bro was a bit mortified when I took out my light 😂😂 but shukar I had it with me. Was too dark otherwise.

Was too much fun and would 100% recommend this fully halal restaurant where there is also no alcohol. If I really had to give criticism it would be that the toilets are tight. 4 of us were in there and it felt little crammed. But minor thing. Otherwise 10/10 from me. Would def go again.

You all know I’m quite open where it comes to things like health and the ageing process so I have noticed all of a sudden these little puffy bags that appear under my eyes when I smile. Sometimes it’s more apparent than other times but very apparent generally speaking.

Have any of you dealt with this issue and how did you resolve it? Can you recommend me ways you dealt with it please below in comments.

Now I have few choices.

1. Either I stop taking pics 😆😆😆.
2. I stop smiling excessively in pics because that will resolve the creases.
3. I ignore it and get on with life.
4. I get treatment that will temporarily resolve problem.
5. I get treatment that long term resolves problem. I know nothing is forever.

We only avail opportunities if we continue to intentionally place ourselves in situations where those opportunities can arise. I have been wanting to work with @zahrasarfraz an amazing stylist for the longest time and I did not know she would be at the same show as me initially but where luck would have it we were and highlight of my day was working with her styling two of her brides.
